Guts and duct tape couldn’t stop the damage on Sunday The Detroit Lions hadn’t suffered a loss in almost three months, but their defeat at the hands of the Buffalo Bills may have been far more significant than just the second loss on the season standings. More injuries to key contributors and a thorough beatdown of the offensive line, coupled with Josh Allen doing whatever he wanted to the replacements on defense, left Detroit in the lurch and looking for answers.
On this episode of the Pride of Detroit PODcast, we discuss where the Lions go from here. With at least four more games to play, the Lions are still in the thick of it and the season doesn’t end just because they’re smarting. We discuss who will be next up on defense, how they can possibly try to shore up new injuries in the secondary and carry the rushing attack workload with the absence of David Montgomery.
We break down the Bills game, talk about how they beat the vaunted Lions offensive line and shut down the run, how the Lions need to make better defensive adjustments and we discuss the coaching decisions on onside kicks and clock management, two topics that have become stables in sports talk.
