According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Scott Stradley, 52 of Pittsford, was arrested Friday and charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, a class A felony. He's listed as a teacher on the Roth HS website.
Deputies announced that the victim was a child Stradley knew personally. While he is an employee at the school, deputies said it does not appear his crime involved any students there. Stradley was arraigned and taken to jail without bail. He's expected in court Wednesday morning.

News 8 reached out to the Rush-Henrietta Central School District for a statement. Leaders announced that Stradley was placed on administrative leave, writing in full:
"Dear Rush-Henrietta Families and Employees,
This past weekend, district leaders were made aware of the arrest of a Roth Junior High School employee.
We are at liberty to share the following: A faculty member who works at Roth Junior High School was arrested off-campus Friday, December 13, 2024. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the school district have no evidence at this time to suggest there are any allegations involving Rush-Henrietta students. The employee has been placed on administrative leave. The district will continue to cooperate with the Sheriff’s Office as the investigation continues. Should you have relevant information, please call 911.
Please keep in mind that news and rumors – especially in the hands and on the devices of our teenagers – spread rapidly. As best we can, we will continue to work as a school and district to address comments, questions, or concerns from students by attending to their social-emotional needs without discussing any of the specifics of this ongoing investigation.
Please take time to explore the following resources to help students (and adults) process uncertainty, doubt, and sadness.

Because this is a personnel matter, state law precludes the school district from providing further public comment regarding details of this case. Thank you for your continued support."
Sincerely,
Dr. Barbara MullenSuperintendent
