Bob Lee’s exwife says family planning civil suit against Momeni’s family
Dec 17, 2024
SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Bob Lee's ex-wife said the family's next move will be to file a civil suit against the family of the man found guilty of murdering her ex-husband. Speaking to KRON4, Lee's ex-wife and the mother of his children, Krista Lee, said despite the guilty verdict, Lee's family was not done fighting.
"The blood is on their hands," she said. "The mother, the sister, the brother-in-law. Our fight is not over yet."
When asked what she meant by that, Lee replied, "That means there will be a civil trial, that means we'll come after his mother, his sister, and the brother-in-law. They are all absolutely guilty."
Lee went on to say that she had information "that never made it into the courtroom that proves they're guilty."

When pressed, Lee said she'd received an anonymous text message the day after Bob Lee was killed that turned out to be from friend, telling her to have police "check Millennium Tower footage," and that this source was also "scared that she would get stabbed too."
Krista believes that Momeni's family members should also be held accountable for allegedly taking steps to try and cover up Momeni's actions. Evidence during the trial revealed that Momeni granted his sister and mother the power of attorney a few days after the stabbing to sell his BMW, the same car that he fled the scene in.
Momeni also stored the car at his mother's house in a carport directly after Lee's death, according to Assistant District Attorney Omid Talai. Krista also said that since Bob's stabbing, she learned about Momeni's alleged history of a violent streak.
"In the last 18 months, I have received overwhelming information in regards to Mr. Momeni's behavior, his abusive nature, people he has stabbed before, women he has abused before," Krista said after the verdict in an interview. "This man deserves life in prison as far as I'm concerned. I'm glad that he's off the streets and I urge anyone to come forward who has ever been attacked by him and tell their stories."
Nima Momeni's brother-in-law, Dino Elyassnia, is a prominent San Francisco plastic surgeon. Elyassnia's wife, Khazar Momeni, was a prominent figure throughout the case and maintained a residence at Millennium Tower where Bob Lee and Nima were partying in the hours before the killing.
Krista also had strong words for Khazar following the verdict announcement.
"If it wasn't for Khazar's manipulation, drug abuse and promiscuity, this wouldn't have happened," Krista said.
During her testimony, Khazar said she was using drugs including cocaine and nitrous oxide the day before the murder. She also said that Jeremy Boivin, a drug dealer who Bob introduced Khazar to, allegedly pulled down her pants and slapped her butt without consent.
When Nima Momeni's mother, Mahnaz Tayarani, was told the Lee family was possibly planning a civil suit, she simply replied, "they can do anything they want."
Earlier on Tuesday morning, a San Francisco jury announced it had found Nima Momeni guilty of second-degree murder. Earlier that morning, Bob Lee's ex-wife told KRON4 that anything less than a first-degree murder verdict would be an injustice.
Lee, the former spouse of Cash App founder Bob Lee, who Momeni fatally stabbed to death on the morning of April 4, 2024, was making her way into the courthouse to hear the verdict.

"Anything less than first degree murder would be an injustice to you?" KRON4's Will Tran asked her.
"In a way, yes it would. Absolutely," Lee replied.
Not long after, the jury announced Momeni had been found guilty of second-degree murder.
