SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Now that the verdict in the trial for the murder of Cash App founder Bob Lee has been announced, one of the most important witnesses and memorable characters throughout the entire case was Khazar Momeni. Momeni is the sister of Nima Momeni, the man found guilty of 2nd degree murder in Lee's killing. She allegedly had an intimate relationship with Lee and spent time with both men on the night of the killing. Bob Lee murder trial: Nima Momeni found guilty of 2nd degree murder Who is Khazar Momeni? Khazar is the younger sister of Nima Momeni, who is accused of fatally stabbing Lee near the Bay Bridge on April 4, 2023. Khazar was a star witness at the trial, testifying for multiple days. Khazar, who also went by the name "Tina," is married to a prominent San Francisco plastic surgeon named Dino Elyassnia. Court documents state they live at the Millenium Tower, a luxurious 35-story high-rise in San Francisco. Khazar and her husband are paying for Nima Momeni's defense team. Throughout the trial. she did not imply anything negative about her brother. Witnesses told police that Khazar was romantically involved with Lee. The jury saw a text message from Lee requesting a sexual favor from Khazar. Lee's family has been critical of Khazar, and his ex-wife called her “the whore of high tower.” Khazar called Lee a "very erratic" person. Khazar's story on the night of Lee's murder In October, Khazar Momeni testified on the stand for hours as prosecutors pelted her with questions. She said she partied with friends and used drugs on the night of Lee's death. She also said Lee's drug dealer sexually assaulted her on the same night. On the night of April 2, Khazar had a get-together at her apartment, and Lee showed up with his drug dealer. (KRON4 Photo) Boivin gave Khazar whippets and LSD, which she had never tried before. Lee later showed up with a friend and the group all used drugs together, Khazar testified. Khazar became uncomfortable at Lee's friend staring at her, and Boivin asked Lee and his friend to leave. Khazar invited a female friend over and began to feel the effects of the LSD, she said. Boivin then gave Khazar and her friend a drug called "GHB" and then sexually assaulted her, she testified. He lost consciousness while face-down on his bed. “We passed out, he didn’t. I couldn’t move my body. I woke up twice, just opened my eyes, and then out again. When I passed out, me and her were both face down. He was walking around in tiny little red shorts. I woke up in a one-piece swimsuit. I started crying, I’ve never cried like that before,” she said.  After Khazar woke up, she sent her location to Nima, who picked her up and drove her home. Video shown in court depicted her disheveled and barely able to stand as she left Boivin's apartment. She was her apartment with her brother and husband when Boivin arrived to pick up some of his drugs, she said. She was still receiving drugs from Boivin as recently as August 2024. Boivin left and Lee arrived, and he began to talk to Nima Momeni. She asked the men to leave and invited Boivin back over to ask for more drugs, she said. She never reported the sexual assault to police. About 30 minutes later, Lee was stabbed to death.
