OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) - Students at Oshkosh North High School are gaining valuable hands-on experience in technology, engineering, and coding thanks to a new partnership between local businesses and the school district. The students showcased their work in a cutting-edge temperature-controlled fan project, the result of an 8-week STEM residency funded by the Generac Foundation and led by Gearbox Labs. Lena & Suring Police chiefs host annual Shop with a Cop program The students presented their final project on Tuesday, December 17. The project, which includes an LCD screen displaying temperature readings, demonstrates their work with robotics, electronics, and C++ programming. “This residency teaches critical thinking and real-world problem-solving, preparing students for future careers in tech and engineering,” said teacher Mr. Tsao. The program, made possible by a Generac Foundation grant, connects students with industry professionals and gives them valuable, hands-on experience in STEM fields.
