(WFRV) - The Wisconsin State Patrol expressed gratitude after one of its Lieutenants received a long-awaited transplant for his liver. According to a Facebook post by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Lieutenant Witkiewicz has been living with a chronic liver disease for over a decade. Local nonprofit donates hundreds of care packages to cancer patients The post includes a photo of Lt. Witkiewicz in the hospital bed holding a small pillow shaped like a liver. Wisconsin State Patrol "Thank you to all who have been following in his journey and shown him and his family support," the post said.
