NEW YORK (WCBD) – A Mount Pleasant man was given a – magnificent – Christmas sweater while attending the 'Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' this week. Fallon introduced a nightly segment called ‘12 Days of Christmas Sweaters' where an audience member was gifted a sweater from an advent-style cabinet. This sweater, an unsightly kitten embroidered onto a sweater with flashing lights, was gifted to a female audience member. But when Fallon’s first guest, comedian Fred Armisen, walked out on stage for his interview he was wearing the same sweater. The two joked that Fred thought it was “one of a kind” and decided to give his away to an audience member. He eventually handed the spirited sweater to Mount Pleasant resident Jeff Slane who was in the audience with his wife, Lori. It was a perfect fit, Jeff! “It was stellar,” said Slane when retelling the story. “I wore it out of NBC, through Rockefeller Center, and all the way back to, and into, the hotel without a coat on. People were taking pictures and pointing, and the bellmen were cracking up!” You can watch the segment by clicking here. Jeff added that Fallon approached them during a commercial break and asked if Lori was jealous of the sweater. Her reaction during the initial exchange was priceless: "Just look at her face! I would say of disbelief and excitement," he said. “What an incredible experience,” he said.
