HEMINGWAY, S.C. (WBTW) -- An 8th-grade student surprised her entire grade with Christmas presents on Tuesday. The Georgetown County student said with help from Horry County businesses, her dream came true.  Chloe Sheppard is a 13-year-old student at Carvers Bay Middle STEAM Academy.  She said her Christmas wish was to buy everyone in 8th grade a present. There are more than 90 students in Sheppard's class -- 54 boys and 39 girls. This information was helped her when buying presents and then separating them into piles.  On Tuesday, each student was gifted a big present and a small present. The gifts included items like clothing, jewelry, makeup, and toys. Sheppard said she was appreciative of the clothing discounts she received from American Eagle at the Tanger Outlets on 501 and Kohls in Horry County. Red Robin in Myrtle Beach also donated either a free appetizer or dessert to each student and Krispy Kreme donated five dozen free donuts when the family purchased five themselves.  Sheppard comes from humble beginnings. Her parents are on a fixed income, and she told her mom she wanted to use the money for gifts for her classmates. “My friend Reagan said that she was really happy about this," Sheppard said. "And then some of my classmates said they love my parents for doing this and they’re so happy." Wrapping all the presents for her fellow classmates took almost three weeks. In addition to the gifts, each student got to decorate their own stocking which they then filled with stocking stuffers. Sheppard also gave a gift to her administrators, saying they were very encouraging when she came to them with her idea.  Her principal, Norine Grant-Fraiser, said: “One of the things we recently had in our area is the closing of the International Paper Company. So, we have tons of families in this area that’s been affected. We have students in this group whose parents have been affected," principal Norine Grant-Fraiser said. "So, what a wonderful time for someone to come in and say, 'hey listen, it may not be much but it’s a little bit.' And sometimes that’s all you need, just a little bit. Someone saying, 'I love you and I appreciate you says so much'. So, those families, those children will be blessed because of it, and we couldn’t thank the Sheppard's more.”
