BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A federal complaint has been filed against two Immigration and Customs Enforcement centers in Kern County, according to the California Collaborative for Immigrant Justice.
21 people detained at the Golden State Annex and Mesa Verde processing centers filed a federal complaint on Monday with the Department of Homeland Security.
Shoppers feel safe at Valley Plaza mall, but more security wouldn’t hurt
The complaint cites alleged medical failure and weaponization of care, specifically targeting workers accusing people detained of "malingering."
The complaint was filed by CCIJ and the ACLU foundation of southern California on behalf of the 21 people.
