An immersive popup competition based on ‘The Traitors’ is opening in L.A.
Dec 17, 2024
Here’s something to look forward to for the start of the year: Peacock just announced the return of “The Traitors Experience,” the immersive pop-up game based on the popular reality TV show. Produced by JFI Productions, the L.A. activation will debut on January 31, 2025 and run through February 15; tickets cost $40 and are already available for purchase right here.
In case you haven’t seen the show, presented by the one and only Alan Cumming, here’s the gist: Based on a Dutch series called De Verraders, the production features a group of contestants that play Mafia, a party game where the goal is to find the traitors among the clan. The immersive experience mimics the reality show.
“The experience will transport attendees into the series’ Scottish castle interior, where fans will participate in their own version of the show’s nail-biting competition as they complete a sequence of games and puzzles to determine the Traitor among their group,” reads an official press release. (L.A., of course, doesn’t really have any Scottish castles, so the event will be staged inside of a more than century-old Colonial Revival estate just south of the 10.)
Among the games you’ll get to play is a coffin escape in a dungeon and a laser competition that is sure to cause some heart palpitations.
In addition to the actual competition, ticket holders will get to look through Cumming’s iconic wardrobe and more, all inside of a private mansion in West Adams. (You’ll get the exact address after you buy your pass.)
Always thought you’d be a good reality competition contestant? Now is your chance to put the concept to the test.
