ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque City Council has voted to pass legislation that will change how the city deals with the homeless crisis. The Public Camping Ordinance prohibits camping or setting up tents in public parks, playgrounds, or open spaces. Anyone who violates the new rules prohibiting camping will be charged with a misdemeanor. The new rules will officially go into effect next week.
