Gophers redshirt sophomore receiver Kristen Hoskins entered the NCAA transfer portal on Tuesday. The former three-star recruit from Alexandria, Minn., played four total snaps — two apiece in 2022 and 2024 — and had one carry for two yards this season. “I am officially in the portal,” Hoskins said on social media. “Let’s be great.” Hoskins, who is listed at 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, was considered an elusive athlete coming out of high school, but never carved out a role at the U over his three seasons. Minnesota has now had nine total players from last year’s roster enter the portal since October. Two of them announced new destinations this week. Running back Jordan Nubin committed Tuesday to Kent State and head coach Kenni Burns, who was a former U tailbacks coach. And linebacker Tyler Stolsky pledged to Florida Atlantic on Monday.
