OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Oklahoma City Community Foundation and it partners are celebrating a huge milestone in grants providing meals for older adults. According to Feeding America, more than 672,000 people in Oklahoma are food insecure. In that group, sadly, 224,000 or 1 in 4 are children. “Mobile meals are wonderful. We provide warm meals, caring conversation and a personal connection for people who can’t leave their homes,” said Gwen Wallace, Mobile Meals Director for St. Luke Baptist Church in Spencer. “We are so honored to partner with the Foundation to provide this important service to members of our community.” The Foundation alongside generous donors say, grants totaling $175,450 have been awarded to 54 mobile meal partners in central Oklahoma for the 2024 grant cycle. Since 2008, Foundation leaders say it has handed out $1,026,600 to mobile meal programs in central Oklahoma. Gov.
