We started off the day to temperatures running more than 15 degrees cooler compared to early Monday morning! Lows dropped into the lower to mid-30s across central Indiana. The quiet conditions will continue today as highs rise into the upper 40s and near 50° in the Indy metro. By this evening, more clouds will build back into the region. There is another wave of light rain that is going to move into the state after midnight.  With lows in the mid-30s overnight and early Wednesday, there is a chance our northern locations could see a brief wintry mix. However, most areas will see rainfall with the southern half of the state having the best chance for seeing any precipitation. Spotty, light showers are expected Wednesday morning ahead of a cold front. Behind the boundary, skies should begin to clear out a bit with breaks in the clouds. Highs are going to be cooler, but more seasonable for this time of year. The weather pattern takes a colder shift at the end of the week! Highs will return to the lower 30s, and there is going to be a chance for snow showers on Friday. Lingering flurries are possible Saturday with highs near the 30° mark.
