(WFRV) - Authorities released more information regarding the vehicle and body that was pulled from Little Lake Butte des Mortes on Monday. According to the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office, on December 16 around 3:15 p.m., information was received regarding a possible vehicle that was under the ice. The vehicle was reportedly under the ice in the waters of Little Lake Butte Des Mortes, around 30 yards from the 9th Street Boat Ramp. Multiple agencies responded to the scene, and a man from Appleton and his vehicle were removed from the water. Authorities say the man was identified as 63-year-old Kurt Stadtmueller. Large pile of dirt left on Kewaunee County roadway, Deputies looking for those responsible Stadtmueller was reportedly last seen on December 11 and was reported as a missing person in Appleton. The cause of death is under investigation, but officials say there was no evidence of trauma to Stadtmueller. No additional information was provided.
