Long lines or short lines, it's worth the wait at Two Rivers' Breakfast with Santa

TWO RIVERS, Wis. (WFRV) - Breakfast with Santa at the Two Rivers Fire Department has been a beloved, decades-long tradition. This past Sunday, more than 600 gathered in the fire engine and ambulance bay, with an eye catching background f the fire truck behind them.
The real head turner was the pancakes being served, however, as Uncle Pancake cook June Colrue flings them up into the air and onto their plates. It's the fast and fun way to serve breakfast.
“I like watching the kids’ faces just light up. They’re having a good time, and I’m having a good time," she said. “And it’s not always the kids, sometimes the adults, you know. That’s what we’re all about, just have a good time.”
Mr. and Mrs. Claus swapped the sleigh for the fire engine as all the kids peered out of the fire station garage windows to catch a glimpse of their arrival. The line to talk with Santa was a long one, but worth the wait.
“I’ve been doing this for 30-plus years. We love the community, we love the Two Rivers firefighters and fire department. Some [kids] are happy to see Santa, some not so much," Santa said. “Elsa, Nerf guns, one order for roller skates, and PS4 and PS5. Those are the items on the top of the list this year.”
After a difficult year for Two Rivers, Santa has some advice he wants both adults and children to keep in mind.
“Take care of the little ones, take care of yourselves, and focus on the future," he said. “Get out and play. Get out and ride your bikes. Get out and run. Get out to the park and have fun.”
