CHARLOTTE, NC — President-Elect Donald Trump may tap a House Democrat from Florida to lead the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Trump reportedly is considering Representative Jared Moskowitz to lead FEMA.
It was not immediately clear if Moskowitz and Trump had met yet to discuss the role.
However, several people describe the congressman as a strong candidate to get the post.
If appointed, he would be the highest-ranking democrat in the Trump administration.
Moskowitz was first elected to Congress in 2022.
