FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Today brings more sunshine into Central Ohio. Partly cloudy skies will move in and overall conditions will stay much calmer. Temperatures will still stay above average for this time of year. Highs are going to top off in the mid-upper 40s.
A few more clouds will roll in to the area tonight as skies will become partly cloudy. Even cooler temperatures are expected as lows will fall into the mid 30s. Portions well north of the city will drop to close to the freezing point. Overall a chilly but calm night is expected.
More chances for scattered rain pop up in the middle of the week. Another cold front arriving Wednesday will kick off some rain showers with some light wintry mix further to the north. A secondary round of showers are going to move through south and east of the city. Within Columbus about a tenth of an inch is expected to fall.
A clipper system will bring a few snow flakes on Friday. With that the temperatures will continue on their downward trend as well. Eventually a dip in the jet stream will drop temps to below normal for this time of year by this upcoming weekend. This includes temps below the freezing point by kickoff of the upcoming game at Ohio Stadium. After this weekend, a warming trends will begin and last to and through Christmas.
