PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — We have patchy fog to deal with for the morning commute, mainly from Winston-Salem, west. Temperatures are incredibly mild this morning, in the upper-40s to lower-50s.  High temperatures today will be in the mid-60s under mostly cloudy skies.  Persistent clouds hang around overnight with lows near 50°. The first of two cold fronts is forecast to sweep across the Carolinas late Wednesday, but ahead of the front, highs will return to the mid-60s under mostly cloudy skies. There is a 20% chance of rain. We will end the work week with very normal weather On Thursday and Friday. Highs will be in the lower-50s with partly cloudy skies.  The second cold front comes in Friday night, allowing Arctic air to barrel across the state.  Highs on Saturday will be knocked into the lower-40s with partly cloudy skies. Sunday and Monday are going to be the sunniest and coldest days of the week, with highs in the mid-to-upper-30s.  Sunday morning, temperatures are expected to dip into the lower 20s, then plunge to the upper teens on Monday morning!
