MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man was arrested after he allegedly crashed a stolen vehicle into a fence in Madera Saturday, according to the Madera Police Department. Police say Officer McCool attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign. The driver, 18-year-old Amado Sanchez-Garcia, tried to flee from officers before colliding into a fence near Sherwood Way and Sonora Street, according to police. He then fled on foot. With assistance from the community and K-9 Goose, Sanchez-Garcia was located and apprehended, Madera Police said. According to police, the vehicle was reported to be stolen earlier in the week. Police say he was booked at the Madera County Jail on suspicion of several felony charges and for violating the terms of his probation.
