Bags of illegal cannabis, psychedelics seized from Oakland smoke shop

(KRON) – Two loaded guns, controlled substances and illegal cannabis were found in an Oakland smoke shop, the Oakland Police Department announced Monday.
On Dec. 5, Alcohol Beverage Action Team patrol officers investigated a smoke shop in the 8500 block of Bancroft Avenue that was not licensed to sell cannabis. OPD was tipped off that the establishment was engaging in illegal activity.

After searching the smoke shop, police said officers seized large quantities of prohibited flavored tobacco products and a large amount of cannabis products and many controlled substances, including psilocybin magic mushrooms and khat (pictured above).
OPD said they also seized two loaded registered firearms.
There have not yet been any arrests, according to Oakland PD. However, this case has been sent to the Alameda County District Attorney’s office for “further action.”
