Madison police have identified suspected Wisconsin school shooter as a 15yearold female student

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) - Law enforcement in Madison has identified the suspected shooter who killed two people at the Abundant Life Christian School.
According to Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes, they've identified the shooter as Natalie Rupnow, who went by the name Samantha. Barnes stated that she was pronounced dead while being transported to the hospital.
During a live presser, Chief Barnes also said the shooting occurred in a study hall and was reported to the police by a second-grade student who called 911 at 10:57 a.m.
Detectives have spoken with family members of the shooter and searched the shooter's home in Madison where they are still working to determine a motive, according to Madison police, and that the parents of the shooter are cooperating.
Police said the next public news conference about the shooting will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. CST.
