CHARLOTTE, NC — The drones have made their way to the Carolinas as viewers continue to send WCCB Charlotte video of possible sightings. “I looked and I started seeing little lights. They were white. Then they started turning green and orange and yellow, and then they started contorting,” said Jennifer Stiles of Bessemer City. Stiles isn’t the not the only one to spot the lights in the sky. People in Gaston, Lincoln and Mecklenburg counties have all seen them. Other states like Ohio and Virginia are also reporting sightings recently. “This is real and so I’m terribly concerned. We are pressing and I’m looking for much better answers from the federal government than what I’ve been getting,” said Virginia Gov. Glen Youngkin. The answers from the government have been vague. Many believing there’s a lack of transparency. “We have not seen drones turn their lights off in the dark. We have not seen drones penetrate restricted air space. Those are two indicia that would give us a cause for concern,” explained Department of Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas. Stiles tell us she’s not worried about her safety. She just wants to know more. “We don’t know. The government says, don’t be afraid. You know, do we trust the government? Do we not? We don’t know,” Stiles explained. A source with CNN said a classified hearing will be with the House Intelligence committee Tuesday afternoon.
