Actor, author, lawyer, economist Ben Stein coming to Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- You probably know him best from television and film.
Actor, author, economist, and lawyer Ben Stein is coming to Wichita. Stein will be the 2025 Craig W. Barton Speaker Series speaker at Wichita State University.
The series will occur on March 11 at 6 p.m. at Miller Concert Hall, Duerksen Fine Arts Center. Tickets go on sale next month.
Best recognized for his iconic line "Bueller? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?" from 1986's "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," or the Comedy Central Game Show "Win Ben Stein's Money," Stein has appeared in 80 movies and television shows, including playing a Wichita airport representative in another John Hughes movie, "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles."

However, before acting, Stein was an economist and lawyer, focusing on poverty law before becoming a trial lawyer for the FTC. He was a speechwriter for the Nixon and Ford White House. He later became an adjunct professor at the American University in Washington, D.C, University of California, Santa Cruz, and taught law at Pepperdine University and Pepperdine University of Law.
In addition, he has been a columnist and commentator for conservative news outlets and the New York Times. He is also an author with over 50 published works, mainly about finance.
Tickets for his speech go on sale Jan. 21 through Wichita State.
