Man in West Springfield displays holiday train set to community

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A man in West Springfield is spreading holiday cheer by having a train set displayed at his home.
Those interested can check out the Tatham Hill Railroad for free on Saturday, December 21st from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 88 Smyrna Street in West Springfield.
What are the chances of a white Christmas in western Mass?
All of the trees on the custom set are real. You may even notice a few familiar spots on the custom railroad set like Ace Hardware and Agway.
The homeowner has been collecting trains for more than 40 years and owns a few hundred trains of them.
"This here took about 5 years. I've been building it and I started some of the individual pieces sooner and then it just started coming together" says Dennis Gamelli of West Springfield.
He also plans to take part in the Amherst Railroad show next month.
