The Park City Police Department reported a collision between a driver and a deer that resulted in the animal’s death.The accident occurred on Friday, Dec. 13, in the area of the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Wyatt Earp Way. The accident occurred shortly before the 6:24 p.m. call to the police.The carcass was “off the side” of the road by the time of the report to law enforcement, the police were told.There are regular collisions involving drivers and animals in Park City, with deer oftentimes being hit. There is vast undeveloped acreage in the Park City area that provides habitat for animals like deer, elk and moose.Collisions could tick upward with snowfall. The animals typically descend to lower elevations to forage for vegetation as the snow accumulates at the upper elevations.
