Call about vehicle fire leads to homicide case in Accomack Co.

ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) -- A man is dead in Accomack County after he was found with bullet wounds on Sunday, Dec. 15, deputies said.
Around 7:15 a.m., the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office initially responded to a vehicle fire on Green Hill Road, in New Church. The fire had reportedly spread to nearby brush. However, when they got to the scene, they found a body in a wooded area. The person had been shot.
30-year-old Warren Thomas Fosque III was pronounced dead at the scene. He was transported to the Norfolk Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death. Lieutenant Joshua Marsh said this is a homicide investigation.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Virginia State Police, New Church Volunteer Fire Department, Oak Hall Rescue Inc., Virginia Department of Transportation, and the Accomack County Department of Public Safety.
