Lincoln Police cruiser. (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Dec. 16)–Lincoln Police believe the same man pulled off a robbery and tried to commit another at two businesses across the street from one another on Friday night. Captain Todd Kocian says they were called to Dollar General near SW 20th and West “O” Street, where a man walked into the store, reached over after an employee opened a cash drawer and starting taking money, while making threats. He took off from the store and no gun was shown. Across the street and just a few minutes later, the same suspect allegedly tried to rob a Casey’s General Store, where a man fitting the same description demanded cigarettes and cash but nothing was taken. Kocian says the suspect implied he had a gun but one was never shown. The suspect is described as a man in his 30s or 40s, wearing a black or blue jacket with a tan liner, red plaid shirt, gray pants and white shoes.
