Suspect arrested, charged for KCK teen's homicide in Wyandotte County

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — One man has been charged in the shooting death of a Kansas City, Kansas teenager last week.
42-year-old Sean Lyle Marshall was taken into custody on Dec. 11 for the murder of 17-year-old Nicholas Brooks.
Marshall barricaded himself inside a home near McGrew Grove and Quindaro Blvd. when officers were serving a warrant for the killing of Brooks. This resulted in a standoff, where Brooks eventually surrendered.

Today, The Wyandotte County District Attorney charged him with aggravated endangering of a child under 18, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon and intentional second-degree murder.
He is currently being held in the Wyandotte County Jail on a $250,000 bond. KCKPD is still investigating this incident.
