INDIANAPOLIS A juvenile female is dead after a stabbing on the near east side of Indianapolis Monday morning. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to a stabbing in the 400 block of North Randolph Street around 9:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a juvenile female victim with stabbing wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased. Police did not specify an age. IMPD said they have arrested a juvenile male for murder in connection with this incident. According to an Indianapolis Public Schools spokesperson, three nearby IPS schools have been placed on lock down following the incident, including: Arsenal Technical High School, Theodore Potter School 74, and H.L. Harshman Middle School. "All students and staff are safe in the buildings, and learning is continuing as normal within classrooms. Parents of these schools have been notified. IMPD is investigating the incident. There are no further details available at this time.The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority at IPS," IPS spokesperson Marc Ransford said.
