GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Green Bay Police Department are celebrating five new officers and have promoted three current officers to new ranks. According to a press release from the Green Bay Police Department, on Monday, December 16, five new patrol officers have been sworn in and three current officers have been promoted to new ranks with approval from the Police and Fire Commission. Green Bay Police stated they held a swearing-in and ceremony which now brings the department up to 108 sworn staff members. We also have three current officers who are dedicated to leading us into the future. Please join me in congratulating all eight individuals. The promoted Officers include Lieutenant Solomon Ayres with 15 years of service, Detective Sheila Carlson with 7 years of service and Detective Matt Woods, also with 7 years of service.
