Dec 16, 2024
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Happy start of the workweek, El Paso! We saw another warm day with mostly sunny skies and these conditions will persist as we go into Tuesday.
A high near 69 is expected with plenty of sunshine. Winds will be light, ranging from 5 to 10 mph in the overnight hours. Our low will be near 40.
Conditions shift Wednesday as a cold front enters the region. Temperatures will be 5 to 10 degrees cooler than they were on Tuesday, producing a high in the low 60s. Along with cooler temperatures we’ll also have stronger winds coming from the east at 10-15 mph, gusts as high as 20 mph. Since our region has been dry, blowing dust is a factor to keep in mind.
This cold front won’t stick around for long. By Thursday and Friday, temperatures will warm back up to above seasonal average with highs nearing the mid-60s and lows in the lower 40s.
The weekend forward will follow the same trend of sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s. Lows will continue to be in the 40s.
