Locals chat about the charm of Buena Vista

(BUENA VISTA, Colo.) — We Are Chaffee County and this week, FOX21 Storm Team Chief Meteorologist Matt Meister took the Storm Squatch for a drive, to discover more about the county and its communities.
Matt joined a group of locals at Rooster's Crow Cafe for breakfast, to learn more about Buena Vista's history and what attracts people to the area.
When asked about what makes Buena Vista a great place, Del, a waitress at Rooster's Crow Cafe, said, the people. "I love seeing the regulars come in," said Del, who has been working at the cafe for 13 years.
Lifelong community member Steve also chimed in and recalled the old times when Buena Vista was a small town and everybody knew everybody. "It's not a small town anymore, you know, we got how many thousands of people here when we only used to have a few hundred," said Steve.
Danny, who also spoke to Matt, said many people who visit or live in the area love Buena Vista because of the mountains and the recreation. "There is a lot of love in this valley," said Danny.
