CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A popular eatery in east Charlotte is closing on December 31st, according to a post made on social media.
Letty, the owner of Letty’s on Shamrock Drive, announced on Friday, December 13th that she has made the bittersweet decision to step back and embrace retirement. The statement goes on to say:
As I grow older, it feels like the right time to prioritize my health, my family, and the next chapter of my life. For the past 12 years, Letty’s has been more than just a restaurant—it has been my home and my heart. From the very beginning, I dreamed of creating a place where people could gather, enjoy delicious food, and feel a true sense of community. Whether you joined us for a special celebration, a casual dinner, a beer at the bar, or were one of our treasured regulars, you became part of the Letty’s family—and you always will be.
As we prepare to close this chapter, I invite you to join us in the coming weeks to celebrate the memories we’ve shared and the relationships we’ve built together. Between now and December 31st, we hope to see many familiar faces, so we encourage you to make reservations to ensure your spot during this special time.
Thank you for 12 years of unwavering support, cherished memories, and shared laughter.
While this goodbye is bittersweet, it’s also a celebration of all we’ve accomplished together. I am so thankful to each of you for making Letty’s the special place it has been.
With love and gratitude,
Letty
