SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – A 41-year-old Summerville man was arrested following a pursuit that involved a stolen trailer. The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office was advised by Charleston County deputies on Sunday to look out for a large brown shipping container that was reported stolen. Deputies later observed a trailer that matched the description while traveling on Dorchester Road. A brief pursuit ensued after deputies attempted to stop the truck. The truck eventually stopped off Bacons Bridge Road, and the driver, Corbett Kenneth Wayne Mizzell, 41, of Summerville, was apprehended after he attempted to flee into the woods. His charges include receiving stolen goods, failure to stop for blue lights, and resisting arrest. The truck’s cab also caught fire after it crashed into a wooded area. Officials with the sheriff’s office said the attached trailer was confirmed to be the property reported stolen from Charleston County.
