BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Street Food Munchies, known for its Cajun New Orleans-style comfort food, is opening a second location in Baton Rouge. The new restaurant, located at 8435 Suite D Florida Boulevard, is set to open in January 2025, according to owner Lataoya Jett. She said the location is near the new Amazon facility, in a strip mall at the corner of Florida Boulevard and Airline Highway. The first Street Food Munchies location opened earlier this year on the second floor of the Mall of Louisiana food court. The menu at the new location will include expanded options. "We will now offer daily lunch specials combos along with our regular menu of overstuffed seafood potatoes, loaded nachos, pastas, salads, and more," Jett said. She also highlighted unique dishes like New Orleans-style Yakamein soup and cheesy flatbreads. Catering restaurant offering lamb chops, fried catfish now open in Baton Rouge The new location will also feature entertainment options, including live karaoke, football game watch parties, and private catering events. Jett said she chose the Florida Boulevard location to better serve North Baton Rouge. "I wanted to pick something in a neutral location catering more to North Baton Rouge," she explained. Hours of operation may change, Jett said, but the current plan is Tuesday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant will offer dine-in, takeout, and delivery options.
