BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- From creating ornaments to gingerbread house making, the libraries around Kern County have you covered. Kern County Libraries want to become a community hub for different areas throughout the county and are doing so by providing programming for all ages, ‘Supper and Snacks in the Stacks’ and even homework help. Organizers also say ol' Saint Nick will be at the Beale Memorial Library on Dec. 20, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Fahra Daredia with the Kern County Library joined 17 News at Noon to discuss the upcoming Santa event, as well as a sip-and-paint event for adults. "Take the kids to see Santa and make a whole day out of it," said Daredia. "We'll have Supper and Snacks in the Stacks, any last minute homework projects you need help with for next year...we will help you." Watch the video in the player above for the full interview.
