(KRON) -- A suspect in multiple North Bay burglaries was arrested Saturday while on pre-trial release from a prior burglary, according to the Windsor Police Department. Police responded Saturday to an alarm at Mattie Washburn Elementary School located at 75 Pleasant Avenue. Arriving officers heard “what sounded like metal being pried” at the back of the school office, Windsor PD said. After a search, police said they found Patrick Poorman, 32, of Windsor, actively trying to pry open a locked door with a pry bar. A short foot chase ensued before Poorman was caught and arrested. Suspect tosses replica gun into Jack in the Box trash while fleeing Vallejo police An investigation determined that Poorman is the suspect in two Larkfield burglaries that took place within the three days prior, Windsor PD said. Poorman was on pre-trial release from Sonoma County as the suspect of a prior burglary when the three most recent burglaries occurred. Poorman was booked into the Sonoma County Jail for burglary, attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools, obstructing a public officer, receiving stolen property, making fictitious checks, mail theft and violation of pre-trial release. Bail was set at $360,000 after a bail enhancement was obtained.
