Six injured, 25 without a home after fire in Gloucester

GLOUCESTER, Mass. (WWLP) - Six people are hurt and around two dozen were forced out of their homes after a fire in Gloucester Saturday night.

Five people had to be rescued from the multi-family home on Pirmi Lane, and three ended up in the hospital for treatment. Three police officers were taken to the hospital as well for smoke inhalation, stated NBC Boston.
According to the fire chief, the fire started on one of the balconies where there were no sprinklers.
About 25 people now have to wait to get back into their homes as the entire building has been shut down.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated, however, the chief said it was likely accidental.
