Wet Wintry Start to the Week!
Dec 16, 2024
We’re waking up to a few drops, a few flakes, and a little in between on this Monday morning. As temperatures dance around freezing, cities mainly along and north of I-95 are dealing with some freezing drizzle, and even a few snowflakes as well. As temperatures rise throughout the morning, all our wintry precip will change over to rain before dissipating in the afternoon. That said, expect a few spotty showers this afternoon. High temperatures will be in the low 40s– average for this time of year.
Tonight, lows will only drop to around 40 as warm air moves in from the south ahead of our next storm. That storm will start to drive showers across the area starting not long after midnight. We’ll have heavier periods of rain for your Tuesday morning commute. Rain fades late Tuesday morning, leading to a very mild day and some sunshine by late afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 50s!
Wednesday will be dry to start with a mix of sun and clouds. High temperatures will be in the upper 40s. Wednesday evening, our next storm arrives, driving rain Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
