VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) -- Originally referred to as an "active firearms violation case" in Virginia Beach is now confirmed to be an attempted home invasion, police said. Around 8:50 a.m. Monday, Virginia Beach police responded to the 900 block of Garden Grove Court. Shots were reportedly fired. Police have also reported a suspect surrounded inside their home. Police said they are armed. A married couple said doorbell footage from neighbors showed a man came to their home, fired one shot at their door before wandering around and returning to his home.
