On December 15, Memphis Police say they responded to a shots fired call on I-240 near Perkins Road a little before noon.
The victim told officers that he was driving eastbound on I-240 when a man driving a red Chevrolet Suburban with a trailer attached almost hit his car. That is when the victim says he drove up beside the Suburban and yelled at the male driver saying, "Yo mane, you good, you almost hit me."
The male is then accused of pulling out a black handgun with a black extended clip and firing five to six shots toward the victim who then attempted to drive away.

Police say the male suspect followed the victim getting off on the Summer Avenue exit. The victim was able to call the police during the chase and described the male suspect.
Shortly afterward, officers found the suspect's vehicle at a home in the 800 block of Barsanti Street in Berclair. Leby Garcia was detained in the backyard at that time.
The victim was able to positively identify Garcia as the man who was shooting at him on the interstate.
Garcia was then taken to the Violent Crime Unit before being taken to jail. He is due in court on Wednesday morning.
