LINDEN, N.C. (WNCN) — Fayetteville fire crews helped a Cumberland County fire department rescue a puppy that was trapped down a well on Saturday. The Westarea Fire Department of the Linden community, north of Fayetteville, received a call Saturday about a dog that had fallen down a narrow opening of a well, according to the Fayetteville Fire Department. Officials said the rescue was for "a pup who found themself in a precarious situation at the bottom of a well!" Fayetteville Fire Department photos Firefighters rigged up a rope support that allowed a person to go down to the well and retrieve the dog. "There's not a spot tight enough that our Rescue Companies won't get you or your four-legged family members out of!" fire officials said.
