CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) -- A woman was seriously hurt in an overnight shooting, according to Chesapeake Police. At around 2:45 a.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of Fireside Road in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a woman who had been shot inside a residence. Paramedics rushed the woman to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. This investigation remains ongoing.
