INDIANAPOLIS – Two people were found shot on the northeast side early Monday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. in the 4000 block of Sawyer Street.
Officers initially encountered a person who’d been shot. They later found a second person suffering from a gunshot wound. Both were "awake and breathing," IMPD said.
IMPD didn’t disclose the extent of the victims’ injuries or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation.
