FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities say they are investigating the cause of a garbage can fire that damaged a house in Fond du Lac early Monday morning. According to a release from the Fond du Lac Fire Rescue, crews responded at 1:36 a.m. for a reported fire at a home on 718 Martin Avenue. Wisconsin car thieves steal vehicle from gas station, abandon 2-year-old on side of road Once on scene, officials say two large garbage cans had caught on fire outside of the home with flames extending to the side of the home. The fire was said to be brought under control within five minutes. No injuries were reported and damage was limited to the siding and utilities on just the one side of the home. Fond du Lac Fire Rescue officials say no other information is available at this time and they are investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
