ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Rochester man was hospitalized Sunday night after police said he was assaulted. The 36-year-old victim was found by officers on North Street just before 7 p.m.

RPD: Driver crashes Kia into tree, occupants flee in Rochester
According to the Rochester Police Department, the man was found with lacerations and "puncture wounds" to both his upper and lower body. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. He's expected to survive.
Officers announced that it was unclear what led up to the assault. No one was arrested. As the investigation continues, police asked anyone with information to call 911.
