DENVER- A fast moving system has moved into Colorado, kicking up the winds for the high country and the plains. Light snow for Rocky Mountain National Park, but dry conditions for metro Denver and the plains.A High Wind Warning is in effect until 2am west of Denver, where wind gusts could reach up to 75 mph, creating areas of blowing snow over mountain passes. So far, we've seen gusts at 93 mph SW of Boulder, 76 mph in Gilpin, 71 mph at Berthoud Pass, and 63 mph for Empire. Winds will diminish Monday and quiet conditions settle in for the day. Expect highs in the 50s with increasing clouds. Another storm cruises into the state Tuesday, bringing more accumulating snow to our northern and central mountains. Highs will remain above average through the week, in the low 50s through Wednesday, then into the 60s from Thursday into the weekend.DENVER WEATHER LINKS: Hourly forecast | Radars | Traffic | Weather Page | 24/7 Weather Stream Click here to watch the Denver7 live weather stream.
