CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) -- One person was fatally shot on Fairview Street Sunday afternoon, Chesapeake Police said. At around 5 p.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of Fairview Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a male who had been shot. Police attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. This investigation remains ongoing.
