INDIANAPOLIS — An ambulance was flipped on its side during a crash on the near east side of Indianapolis Sunday night. Public police reporting systems indicate the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was dispatched to the intersection of East Michigan Street and North Oriental Street around 11 p.m. on a report of a person injury crash. The Indianapolis Fire Department was sent to the area at the same time to assist with a department vehicle accident. When FOX59 and CBS4's crew arrived at the scene, they found an ambulance lying on its side. At least one other vehicle at the scene also appeared to be damaged in addition to the ambulance. IMPD and IFD have not yet provided any updates on the crash. As of this article's publication, no additional information on the incident had been made available.
